Pastor Van dreamed of planting a church with a simple goal: help people connect with God in a church without letting structures and programs get in the way. In September of 1998, with the help of his family and a small group of people committed to seeing this dream become a reality—New Day Christian Ministries began. That first Sunday, at Union Elementary School, over 50 attended. God is at work at New Day Christian Ministries. Our purpose at New Day Christian Ministries is:

“To reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus that they might become fully devoted followers of Christ.”We filter every idea, program, and budget request through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it. Our statement of purpose is based on two teachings of Jesus:

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” MATTHEW 22:36-40 NIV

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…” Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. The reasons New Day Christian Ministries exists:

To worship God in the beauty of Holiness.
To share the Good News of Jesus with others.
To connect with other believers in meaningful relationships.
To prepare disciples to fulfill their purpose.
To encourage servant leadership in their God-given destiny.

OUR LEADERSHIP:

Believers who invest their hearts, time, families, and finances in the building of a local church deserve to have confidence in church leadership. People are looking for leaders who conduct themselves with integrity and respect when making decisions that affect their lives.

WE ARE GUIDED BY OUR PASTORS.
The Pastoral staff team is led by the Senior Pastor. This team oversees the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church. These staff pastors serve the congregation and are responsible for the development of the spiritual life of the church. The Senior Pastor Leadership Team members serve as Staff Elders.

WE ARE STRENGTHENED BY OVERSEERS.
The Overseers are three pastors of nationally respected congregations and ministries who love New Day Christian Ministries and are willing to provide spiritual protection to the church. They may be called in to help in accountability matters relating to the Senior Pastor if requested by the Pastors or congregation. The Overseers serve as Apostolic Elders.
